SPARKLING WINE

This delightful, certified organic Prosecco is wonderfully elegant with delicate green apple fruit and gently floral aromatics leading to a dry, fresh palate and a pleasantly fruity finish.

Langham Culver Classic Cuvee NV £49.50
A pale gold colour with aromas of red apple, plum, strawberry yoghurt and toasted brown bread. The palate has a fine mousse with orchard and stone fruit flavours, zesty acidity with a long finish

Dorset Crémant NV, Bride Valley Vineyard £42.50
Fresh light yellow in colour, England’s only Crémant has a lighter ‘fizz’ which ‘creams’ onto the palate with ripe apple and sherbet lemon fruit notes.

Langham Wine Estate Rose NV £54.50
This blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier produces a salmon pink wine with a stream of fine bubbles. The palate is light and refreshing with cranberry and strawberry flavours with a nose of roasted strawberries and butter pastry

Rosé Bella 2018 £47.50
Wonderful appearance in the glass, a beautiful salmon pink with a constant fine mousse and great energy with a lovely, attractive nose of raspberry and redcurrant fruit character. A delicious palate of red fruit…cranberry, redcurrant, raspberry…almost summer fruit pudding with real verve and freshness from balanced citrus acidity.

CHAMPAGNE

Gallimard Cuvee Reserve, Blanc de Noirs £62.50 | 125ml Glass £11.50
A lovely deep golden colour with pinky tinges, our House Champagne comes from a family-owned house now in its 6th generation. It has a fruity nose with aromas of exotic fruit. In the mouth it is supple, supple, soft and creamy with gentle aromatics.

NV Bollinger Special Cuvée, Aÿ £85.00
Bollinger’s trademark rich and biscuity style is unmistakeable and their consistency makes them one of the finest producers in Champagne.

WHITE WINES

1. 2021 Klippenkop Chenin Blanc, Paarl, South Africa £24.50

This terrific wine has a great balance of ripe, green apple fruit, a touch of honeyed richness and zingy acidity, making it a versatile food wine.

2. 2020 Rioja Blanco, Bodegas Navajas, Spain £25.50

Light, fruity and floral with a zesty edge. This unoaked white Rioja is made from 100% Viura and is delightful

3. 2021 Cap a l’Ouest Sauvignon, Dom. de la Bretonniere, Loire, France £26.50

From the western Loire this is a delicious blend of Sauvignons Blanc and Gris that is crisp and refreshing with an enticing aromatic edge.  A great aperitif or match to Seafood dishes.  

4. 2021 Vinho Verde, Vilacetinho, Minho, Portugal £23.50
A  refreshing Vinho Verde which bursting with fresh citrus fruit and just the slightest spritz.

5. 2019 Jurancon Sec ‘Le Veritable’, Cave de Gan, AC Jurancon £26.50
A wonderful, dry yet ripely fruited wine from the foothills of the Pyrenees.  Made with 100% Gros Manseng this terrific wine shows baked lemon fruit character and acidity.

6.  2020 Val Colombe Viognier, Pays d’Oc, France £28.50
A classic nose of white peach and orange blossom tinged with a hint of spice leads to a wonderful creamy palate which manages to show richness without being overblown.

7. 2020 Chardonnay Hannewald-Schwerdt, Pfalz Germany £31.50
This delightful wine is a revelation, showing citrus and stone fruit as well as delicate floral aromas. Silky and textured yet with some lively lift and balanced acidity

8. 2021 Picpoul de Pinet, Mare Nostrum, Languedoc £31.50
A classic example of Picpoul with lively and sprightly citrus fruit as well as delicate floral aromas. A delightful year-round tipple and perfect accompaniment to shellfish

9. 2021 Muscadet Sur Lie Cuvee Prestige, Dom. De la Bretonniere, Loire £32.50
This wonderful Muscadet is expressive and intense and screams of regional character. Mineral tinged crisp, steely and fresh is there a better seafood wine?

10. 2015 Sherborne Castle Special Reserve, Dorset £32.50
This aromatic and delicately scented blend of Bacchus and Reichsteiner is soft and approachable and displays the huge potential England has as a producer of quality wines.

11. 2020 Estate Riesling, Ernst Loosen, Mosel, Germany £33.50
Ernst Loosen is ‘Mr.Riesling’, This delicate Mosel Riesling  has the characteristic crisp, balancing acidity possessed by all good Rieslings.

12. 2021 Soave Mito, Monte Tondo, Veneto £33.50
A delightful Soave from well-sited hillside vineyards, this lovely wine shows delicate almond and blossom aromatics with clean, citrus tinged fruit and a crisp, fresh finish.

13. 2020 Seifried Gewurztraminer, Nelson, New Zealand £35.50
A wonderfully aromatic nose with hints of lychee, rose petal and spice leads to a palate of textured Turkish delight flavours with a soft, rounded mouthfeel and balanced fresh acidity.

14. 2021 Gavi di Gavi Bric, Roberto Sarotto, Piedmont, Italy £38.50
This beautiful Gavi is a complex wine with delicious white peach notes on the nose leading to more stone fruit on the palate as well as delicious honeydew melon.

15. 2021/22 Two Rivers Sauvignon Blanc ‘Convergence’, Marlborough, NZ £38.50
A terrific example of Kiwi Sauvignon with explosive passion fruit, gooseberry and lime fruit flavours alongside a crisp, mineral tinged edge and refreshing saline tinged acidity.

16. 2020 Macon Chaintre, Cave Julienas-Chaintre £41.50
A classic Macon which is lovely and bright in the glass with a fresh, floral bouquet.  The citrus tinged palate is clean, precise and well balanced through to the finish. 

17. 2020 Grauburgunder, Weingut Thorle, Rheinhessen, Germany £45.50
Thorle is a superb Biodynamic estate producing characterful, honest wines from some of the best vineyard sites in the area.  Bright, lively and textured with ripe yellow fruits and spice

18.2018 Chablis, Domaine Fournillon, Burgundy, France £46.50
Beautifully constructed, dry and minerally with lots of green apple notes.  The palate is fresh yet has a rounded mouthfeel with more green apple and hints of pear giving a tangy finsih 

19. 2018/20 Pouilly Fumé, Domaine Lebrun £49.50
An intense minerality, with citrus and tropical fruit flavours dominating that touch of classic Pouilly smokiness. Great length balanced with a piercing acidity.

20. 2016/18 Moorooduc Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula £51.50
A naturally made Chardonnay, this wine is both delicate and complex, balancing light floral, lemon rind and white nectarine aromas with a weighty creamy texture.

21. 2020 Rully 1er Cru La Pucelle, Dom. Belleville £60.50
A truly expressive white burgundy with citrus, butter and white fleshed melon on the nose.  The palate is superbly balanced with a toasty mellowness, simply a classy wine.

22. 2018 Meursault, Christian Bellang, Burgundy £65.50
A lovely nutty Meursault with well-balanced oak notes. The nose displays green fig, mineral and toasted hazlenuts before leading to a palate with crisp acidity and a long finish.

23. 2018/19 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Meunier £74.50
Clean and fresh Puligny-Montrachet with a light touch of oak, refreshing citrus and apple aromas and floral hints. Lovely minerality on the palate underlying the lemon notes.

RED WINES

30. 2020/21 Les Betes Rousses Rouge, Pays l’Herault £24.50

A very easy-going blend of Carignan, Grenache and Merlot with hints of plums and red berry on the nose. Well-rounded and balanced, with gentle tannins on the finish

31. 2020 Rioja Tinto Sin, Bodegas Navajas, Navarette, Spain £25.50

A terrific young Rioja with perfumed, violet scented fruit, juicy rounded palate and great freshness to the finish.  Navajas (pronounced Na-Va-Cas) add a few barrels of their super Crianza to this wine just to add a little extra depth and complexity.

32. 2018 Château Chartron La Fleur, AC Bordeaux £26.50

Our brilliantly balanced easy drinking house Claret is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft and rounded with red berry and blackcurrant fruit with subtle mineral undertones

33. 2021 Calusari Pinot Noir, Umbrele, Romania £24.50
Fruit driven and easy drinking, this is a great Pinot Noir to suit lighter dishes and general summer drinking.

34. 2020 Un Bon Canon Cotes du Rhone, Bruno Lafon £26.50
Boldly fruited blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mouvedre grown on pebble strewn soils in the warmer, southerly vineyards of the region.  Dark fruits and herbal/garrigue flavours abound!

35. 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, Bodegas Sottano, Mendoza £28.50
A fabulous Cabernet which shows a complex and inviting nose of coffee, dark fruits and hints of spice.  The well-rounded palate has more generous dark fruits, well-integrated oak and soft, supple tannins on the finish.   

36. 2020 Beaujolais Villages, Cave Julienas-Chaintre £29.50
A classic Beaujolais Villages sourced from 6 different Cru villages.  Charming, rounded and fresh, this is a delightful wine for lighter dishes.

37. 2016 Shiraz, Cranswick Estate, Barossa Valley £31.50
Deeply coloured with plummy aromas and a dash of sweet, earthy raspberry fruit and vanillin smoothness. The multi layered palate is complex showing dark berry flavours and spices and a long, balanced finish.

38. 2019 Carmenere Reserva, Casas del Bosque, Rapel Valley £31.50
Full and ripe with blueberries, spice and a hint of herbaceous flavours. This wine is an excellent example of top class Chilean Carmenere with dark berry fruit, some green leaf and plenty of spice.

39. 2019/20 Sangiovese di Toscana, Caparzo, Italy £31.50
This Tuscan red shows an intense, fruity bouquet, with ripe blackberries, wild strawberries and spice. The palate has a warm brambly feel, full of soft ripe fruit and hints of spices to finish

40. 2019 The Pepper Pot, Edgebaston, South Africa £32.50
Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Elgin regions, this wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhône varietals. The colour is youthful and purple/red. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis.

41. 2020 U Passimiento Nero d’Avola/Frappato, Sicilia Rosso £33.50
Bright, intense red fruit on the nose displaying lots of red berries. The palate is warm and full bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth elegant tannins

42. 2019 Chianti DOCG, Tenuta Ormanni £36.50
This delightful Chianti has a very pretty, light red-ruby colour with lovely fresh aromas of red fruits like cherries and strawberries. The finish is fresh and thirst quenching.

43. 2019 ‘Drink Me’ Tinto, Niepoort, Douro, Portugal £39.50
Deliciously different both in taste and presentation, the dry table wines of Dirk Niepoort are a true delight giving elegant, rounded drinking wines which go well with food.

44. 2018 Embers Cabernet Sauvignon, Flametree, Margaret River £41.50
Medium bodied with lifted aromas of violets and ripe black fruits alongside chocolate and cedar notes.  The luscious palate shows flavours of plum, blackberry and more chocolate and is rounded off by fine tannins. 

45. 2020 Malbec, Luigi Bosca, Mendoza, Argentina £43.50
Deeply coloured in the glass with aromas of dark berries, coffee and spice, this medium bodied, velvety smooth Malbec sees 12 months in oak, giving the wine rounded tannins and great fruit concentration.

46. 2019/20 Lirac Rouge Cuvée Elie, Domaine La Loyanne £45.00
This blend of 60% Grenache & 40% Syrah comes from 80 year old vines, giving it a wonderful depth and concentration to the rich fruit.  A great pairing to beef or game dishes.

47. 2019 Loidana, Marco Abella, DO Priorat, Spain £47.50
This amazing wine from one of Spain’s finest wine growing regions is simply delicious and a great introduction to Priorat.  It shows an abundance of black cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit alongside hints of violets, cedar and spice.  The velvety palate is smooth and harmonious showing an impeccable balance through to the end of the long finish. Approachable and authentic, this complex wine is an utter joy to drink.

48. 2019 Tindall Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand £47.50
Delightful aromas of cranberry, plum and red cherry on the nose. The palate is elegant and lasting with hints of vanilla and subtle oak.

49. 2020 Morgon, Chateau Grange Cochard £49.50
Packed with blackberry, crushed black raspberry, kirsch and damson plum fruit, with black liquorice, dried herb and mineral notes.  The complex palate shows fine balance and focus throughout.  A fabulous Cru Beaujolais which is made with minimal intervention and low sulphur to produce a wine of great character and purity.

50. 2016 Château Fontestau, Cru Bourgeois Medoc, France £59.50
The soft, approachable fruit, balanced tannins and hints of cedar make this medium weight Bordeaux immediately enjoyable.

51. 2019 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier £64.50
Côte Chalonaise, Burgundy, France
Cherry, raspberry and some leafiness all appear on the enticing nose. The palate is clean and crisp with bright brambly fruit and flavours of the forest.

52. 2018 Châteauneuf du Pape ‘Tradition’, Domaine de l’Ange, Rhône £67.50
Grenache makes up 70% of the blend in this rich and hearty red form the southern Rhône.  The wine shows lots of dense red berry fruit with hints of spice and a gentle warming finish.

53. 2017 3 Cru Amarone, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Italy £69.50
A classic Amarone, with rich raisin, chocolate, coffee and notes of spice. Velvety full body and well-integrated alcohol. The nose and palate are expressive, and the finish lengthy. Excellent wine.

54. 2011 Château Bellegrave, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France £89.50
This very solid vintage from Bellegrave produced a slightly fuller wine than usual with a greater degree of fruit and structure that is drinking beautifully at present.

Pale, dry and very elegant, this delightful Rose is softly textured and rounded.  At only 11.5% alcohol it is easy to drink

61. 2021 Pinot Noir Rosé, Villa Wolf, Pfalz, Germany £31.50
A Ripe and refreshing with a delicious off dry strawberry fruit character, this is a very versatile food wine, especially with seafood and spicier dishes

Crisp, fresh citrus fruits underpinned by classic minerality and fine, balanced acidity.      

Red
2017 Rioja Crianza, Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta £24.50
Tasty and well-structured showing an enticing deep black-cherry colour in the glass.  Wonderfully fruit led with an elegant finish and perfectly integrated oak.

DESSERT WINES

NUY Red Muscadel, South Africa. By the glass (100ml) £7.50
This pale red dessert wine from South Africa is a cape classic.  Sweet and strawberry scented with a fresh vein of acidity perfectly balancing the richness.

Monbazillac, Domaine De L’ancienne Cure. Half bottle £30.00 | By the glass (100ml) £8.50
Richly honeyed with complex notes of dried fruits, nuts and caramel alongside.  The heady orange blossom and barley sugar bouquet leads to a complex dried fruit palate offset by a fine acidity.

Cuvée Celine, Clos Le Comte, Sauternes. By the glass (100ml) £10.50
The Clos le Comte is a tiny (1.3 hectare) organically farmed vineyard of 50 year old vines. Harvested by hand after 3 to 5 passages through the vines, this remarkably fresh, elegant and exotic wine is truly delicious
