Blanc de Blanc 2018, Bride Valley Vineyard £73.00
A beautifully vibrant, pale lemon appearance with a persistent stream of tiny bubbles. The nose is fine and elegant with layers of cream, citrus fruits and points of toasted brioche, supported with notes of green apple and stone fruit. The palate is immediately crisp and fresh but leads to ripe, broad citrus fruit with a luxurious texture, balanced by sherbet acidity.

An off dry English sparkling wine. Keynotes include honeysuckle, shortbread and almond. Floral aromas are joined by the taste of honeyed fruit, sweet apple Compote as well as hints of Frangipane and Bakewell tart. Perfect for celebrations or simply enjoy as an aperitif

WHITE WINE

Bacchus Dry, Furleigh Estate, Dorset £45.00
A wonderfully refreshing, crisp dry white wine with zesty fruit appeal. Brilliantly aromatic with floral scents of elderflower and apple blossom combined with gooseberry and greengage plus hints of Sicillian lemon.  It also has herbaceous notes of freshly cut grass and wild nettles on the nose and a touch of salty minerality on the finish. It is beautifully balanced with uplifting lime acidity and nice length.
Bacchus Fume, Furleigh Estate, Dorset £45.00
A multi-vintage white wine with a blend of 90% Bacchus and 10% Chardonnay. This aromatic and dry white wine has hints of tropical and ripe stone fruits, with passion flower and exotic mandarin. Subtle oak integration gives a hint of vanilla and coconut on the finish. A delicious and refreshing local white.

2019 Dorset Chardonnay, Bride Valley Vineyard £37.50
This beautiful wine is light lemon yellow in colour with spring and early summer flowers on the nose. It has well-expressed white, rather than yellow summer fruits on the palate with breadth and length lifted by natural ‘Granny Smith’ acidity which lifts the length and refreshes the finish.

2019 Dorset Pinot Noir Rose, Bride Valley Vineyard £36.50
Aromas of delicious red summer fruits of raspberry, redcurrant and a pinch of spicy dried tangerine. The palate is broad and ripe with notes of cranberry, tayberry and strawberry.

This vibrant dry rose is bursting with notes of red summer berries. A heady sense of hibiscus and wild rose mingle with ripe strawberry, red cherry and watermelon, which delivers a fruity punch full of flavour.

A wonderful, dry yet ripely fruited wine from the foothills of the Pyrenees. Made with 100% Gros Manseng, this terrific wine shows baked lemon fruit character and acidity.

A classic example of Picpoul with lively and sprightly citrus fruit as well as delicate floral aromas. A delightful year-round tipple and perfect accompaniment to shellfish.

This beautiful Gavi is a complex wine with delicious white peach notes on the nose leading to more stone fruit on the palate as well as delicious honeydew melon.

Beautifully constructed, dry and minerally with lots of green apple notes. The palate is fresh yet has a rounded mouthfeel with more green apple and hints of pear giving a tangy finish.

An intense minerality, with citrus and tropical fruit flavours dominating that touch of classic Pouilly smokiness. Great length balanced with a piercing acidity.

This beautiful Sauvignon comes from a steep south-facing vineyard and has plenty of delicate citrus and apple fruit, perfectly poised minerality and mouth-watering acidity.

Clean and fresh Puligny-Montrachet with a light touch of oak, refreshing citrus and apple aromas and floral hints. Lovely minerality on the palate underlying the lemon notes.

A terrific young Rioja with perfumed, violet scented fruit, juicy rounded palate and great freshness to the finish. Navajas (pronounced Na-Va-Cas) add a few barrels of their super Crianza to this wine just to add a little extra depth and complexity.

A fabulous Cabernet features a complex of flavours. Inviting notes of coffee, dark fruits and hints of spice. The well rounded palate has more generous dark fruits, well integrated oak and soft supple tannins in the finish.

37. 2022/23 U Passimiento Nero d’Avola/Frappato, Sicilia Rosso, Italy £35.00
Bright, intense red fruit on the nose displaying lots of red berries. The palate is warm and full bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth elegant tannins.

38. 2019/20 The Pepper Pot, Edgebaston, South Africa £36.00
Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Elgin regions, this wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhône varietals. The colour is youthful and purple/red. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis.

39. 2021/22 Carmenere Reserva, Casas del Bosque, Rapel Valley, Chile £39.00
Full and ripe with blueberries, spice and a hint of herbaceous flavours. This wine is an excellent example of top class Chilean Carmenere with dark berry fruit, some green leaf and plenty of spice.

40. 2021 Shiraz, Cranswick Estate, South Australia £41.50
Deeply coloured with plummy aromas and a dash of sweet, earthy raspberry fruit and vanillin smoothness. The multi layered palate is complex showing dark berry flavours and spices and a long, balanced finish.

41. 2017/18 Cuvée Constance, AC Cotes de Roussillon, France £44.50
This classy wine is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Carignan from vines of up to 45 years old. It shows plenty of rounded fruit, a balanced spicy backbone with underlying minerality and impeccable finish.

42. 2020/21 Lirac Rouge Cuvée Elie, Rhone, France £51.00
This blend of 60% Grenache & 40% Syrah comes from 80 year old vines, giving it a wonderful depth and concentration to the rich fruit. A great pairing to beef or game dishes.

43. 2020 Morgon, Chateau Grange Cochard, Cru Beaujolais, France £53.00
Packed with blackberry, crushed black raspberry, kirsch and damson plum fruit, with black liquorice, dried herb and mineral notes. The complex palate shows fine balance and focus throughout. A fabulous Cru Beaujolais which is made with minimal intervention and low sulphur to produce a wine of great character and purity.

44. 2020 Pavette Pinot Noir, AVA California £60.00
This is a cracking, approachable Pinot Noir packed with ripe red cranberry, raspberry and cherry fruits whilst showing a touch of smokiness and lovely creamy texture on the finish.

45. 2019/22 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier, Burgundy £76.00
Côte Chalonaise, Burgundy, France
Cherry, raspberry and some leafiness all appear on the enticing nose. The palate is clean and crisp with bright brambly fruit and flavours of the forest.

46. 2021 Châteauneuf du Pape Habemus Papam, Dom. Santa Duc £105.00

Domaine Santa Duc are fabulous southern Rhone producers, making wines with elegance and power in equal measure. This Chateauneuf is a true joy, with plenty of garrigue notes, a big mouthful of dark fruits and yet remarkable restraint.  A wine to be savoured glass after glass.
