The Bric Sassi is a 40 year old vineyard that enjoys a privileged south facing position in the Gavi growing area. This beautiful Gavi is a complex wine with delicious white peach notes on the nose leading to more stone fruit on the palate as well as delicious honeydew melon.
14. 2016 Tindall Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand
Passion fruit, gooseberry and lime fruit flavours mingle effortlessly with super acidity and make this wine a highly individual Kiwi Sauvignon.
15. 2015 Seifried Gewurztraminer, Nelson, New Zealand
This stunning example of Gewurztraminer doesn’t lack any varietal precision. A wonderfully aromatic nose with hints of lychee, rose petal and spice leads to a palate of textured Turkish delight flavours with a soft, rounded mouthfeel and balanced fresh acidity. Simply delightful.
16. 2014/15 Macon Solutré Pouilly, Domaine Besson, Burgundy
A wonderful dry and crisp expression of Chardonnay. Slightly golden yellow in colour. Aromas of white flowers and notes of acacia. Light and fruity, with great mineral notes.
17. 2016 Grauburgunder, Weingut Thorle, Rheinhessen, Germany
Thorle is a superb Biodynamic estate producing characterful, honest wines from some of the best vineyard sites in the area. Bright, lively and textured with ripe yellow fruits and spice on the nose and a distinct mineral finish.
18.2015 Chablis, Domaine Fournillon, Burgundy, France
Beautifully constructed, dry and minerally with lots of green apple notes. The palate is fresh yet has a rounded mouthfeel with more green apple and hints of pear giving way to a long finish with a zippy tang.
19. 2016 Pouilly Fumé, Domaine Lebrun
An intense minerality, with citrus and tropical fruit flavours dominating that touch of classic Pouilly smokiness. Great length balanced with a piercing acidity.

A full-bodied, complex white with stone fruits and honeydew melon leading to a creamier rounded mid palate of peach, vanilla and roasted nuts with a lingering crisp finish of grapefruit and spicy French oak.
21. 2015 Rully 1er Cru La Pucelle, Dom. Belleville, Côte Chalonaise
A truly expressive white burgundy with citrus, butter and white fleshed melon on the nose. The palate is superbly balanced with a toasty mellowness and mineral flecked acidity which adds to the complexity of this classy wine.
22. 2014 Meursault, Christian Bellang, Burgundy
A lovely nutty Meursault with well-balanced oak notes. The nose displays green fig, mineral and toasted hazlenuts before leading to a palate with crisp acidity and a long finish.
23. 2014 Puligny Montrachet, Domaine Moingeon, Burgundy
Excellent textbook Puligny from a very fine vintage and up and coming producer. Nutty, fruity and mineral, this has mouth-filling texture and a lovely clean finish.
30. 2016 Grenache/Syrah, Dom. la Colombette, Pays l’Herault
A delightful, easy going red from a pioneering property in just outside Beziers. Lovely aromatics and texture courtesy of the Grenache whilst the Syrah adds a bit of depth.
31. 2017 Rioja Tinto Sin, Bodegas Navajas, Navarette, Spain
A terrific young Rioja with perfumed, violet scented fruit, juicy rounded palate and great freshness to the finish. Navajas (pronounced Na-Va-Cas) add a few barrels of their super Crianza to this wine just to add a little extra depth and complexity.

Our brilliantly balanced easy drinking house Claret is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft and rounded with red berry and blackcurrant fruit with subtle mineral undertones

Fruit driven and easy drinking, this is a great Pinot Noir to suit lighter dishes and general summer drinking.
34. 2016 Sangiovese di Toscana, Caparzo, Italy
This Tuscan red shows an intense, fruity bouquet, with ripe blackberries, wild strawberries and spice. The palate has a warm brambly feel, full of soft ripe fruit and hints of spices to finish.
35. 2016 Gamay, Domaine du Haut Bourg, Val du Loire, France
Juicy, fresh and most distinctly from a very cool climate, this superb, light red is great for summer drinking and makes a great lunchtime red to match our Dorset Tapas boards.
36. 2014 Bradgate Cabernet/Merlot, Jordan Estate, South Africa
This classic Bordeaux blend from the award-winning team at Jordan displays the ripe, up front fruit of the new world combined with the structure and elegance of the old.
37.2015 Shiraz, Cranswick Estate, Barossa Valley
Deeply coloured with plummy aromas and a dash of sweet, earthy raspberry fruit and vanillin smoothness. The multi layered palate is complex showing dark berry flavours and spices and a long, balanced finish.
38. 2016 Gaznata Vinas Viejas, Bodegas Juan del Aguila, Spain
This cracking 100% Garnacha (Grenache) comes from very old, hand harvested bush vines high up in the Gredos mountains just outside Madrid. Naturally fermented in concrete tanks, the result is a wonderfully pure wine with freshness, forward blackberry and cherry fruit. The palate is rounded, soft and shows hints of Christmassy spice alongside dark fruits on the long finish. Easy going, yet in no way dull, this is simply delicious drinking.
39.2016 Carmenere Reserva, Casas del Bosque, Rapel Valley
Full and ripe with blueberries, spice and a hint of herbaceous flavours. This wine is an excellent example of top class Chilean Carmenere with dark berry fruit, some green leaf and plenty of spice.
40. 2015 The Pepper Pot, Mouvedre/Tannat/Syrah, Edgebaston
WO Coastal Region, South Africa
Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Elgin regions, this wine is created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhône varietals. The colour is youthful and purple/red. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis.
41.2015 Chianti ‘Antiche Vie’, Pietro Beconcini, Italy
A delicious, toothsome and savoury Chianti from a terrific biodynamic producer. This is brimming with cherry fruit and finishes with a tantalising smoky tang.
42. 2016 Cabaletta Rosso delle Venezie, Tenuta Fiorebelli, Italy
Made from Corvina and Rondinella with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, this delicious wine is made partially in the apassimento style with 30% of the grapes being dried in specially aerated lofts, concentrating the sugars and adding richness to the finished wine. Bold, fruity and extremely more’ish, the Cabaletta is a fabulous addition to our list.
43. 2015 ‘Drink Me’ Tinto, Niepoort, Douro, Portugal
Deliciously different both in taste and presentation, the dry table wines of Dirk Niepoort are a true delight giving elegant, rounded drinking wines which go well with food.

Rich and complex, this deliciously approachable wine shows plenty of smooth, rounded red and dark fruits, cherries, spices and liquorice
45.2015 Malbec, Luigi Bosca, Mendoza, Argentina
Deeply coloured in the glass with aromas of dark berries, coffee and spice, this medium bodied, velvety smooth Malbec sees 12 months in oak, giving the wine rounded tannins and great fruit concentration.
46. 2016 Fleurie, Manoir du Carra, France
Violets, red berries, flint and spice on the powerful perfume. Balanced well by the medium body and crisp acidity. Long finish with spice and red berry scents.
47. 2014 Château Fontestau, Cru Bourgeois Medoc, France
The soft, approachable fruit, balanced tannins and hints of cedar make this medium weight Bordeaux immediately enjoyable.
48. 2016 Loidana, Marco Abella, DO Priorat, Spain
This amazing wine from one of Spain’s finest wine growing regions is simply delicious and a great introduction to Priorat. It shows an abundance of black cherry, raspberry and strawberry fruit alongside hints of violets, cedar and spice. The velvety palate is smooth and harmonious showing an impeccable balance through to the end of the long finish. Approachable and authentic, this complex wine is an utter joy to drink.
49. 2016 Tindall Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand
Delightful aromas of cranberry, plum and red cherry on the nose. The palate is elegant and lasting with hints of vanilla and subtle oak.
50. 2014 Hay Shed Hill Cabernet Sauvignon, Margaret River, Australia
Ripe blackcurrant and cassis fruits dominate the nose with hints of cedar and mint. The beautifully rounded palate is perfectly balanced with well-integrated oak and tremendous length. Modern and hugely enjoyable – this is accomplished winemaking.
51. 2014 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier
Côte Chalonaise, Burgundy, France
Cherry, raspberry and some leafiness all appear on the enticing nose. The palate is clean and crisp with bright brambly fruit and flavours of the forest.
52. 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine de l’Ange, Rhône
Grenache makes up 70% of the blend in this rich and hearty red form the southern Rhône. The wine shows lots of dense red berry fruit with hints of spice and a gentle warming finish.
53. 2012 3 Cru Amarone, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Italy
A classic Amarone, with rich raisin, chocolate, coffee and notes of spice. Velvety full body and well-integrated alcohol. The nose and palate are expressive, and the finish lengthy. Excellent wine.
54.2008 Château Bellegrave, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France
This very solid vintage from Bellegrave produced a slightly fuller wine than usual with a greater degree of fruit and structure that is drinking beautifully at present.
60.2017 Grenache Rosé, Domaine la Colombette, France
Pale, dry and very elegant, this delightful Rose is softly textured and rounded. At only 11.5% alcohol it is easy to drink
61.2017 Pinot Noir Rosé, Villa Wolf, Pfalz, Germany
A Ripe and refreshing with a delicious off dry strawberry fruit character, this is a very versatile food wine, especially with seafood and spicier dishes

2015 Jurançon Clos Uroulat, Charles Hours, France (Hlf Bt)
This very late harvested wine made from Petit Manseng grown in the foothills of the Pyrenees has a wonderfully clean and pure seam of acidity that balances the rich aromatic fruit and stops the wine from becoming at all cloying.
2006 Cuvée Celine, Clos Le Comte, Sauternes (Hlf Bt)
The Clos le Comte is a tiny (1.3 hectare) organically farmed vineyard of 50 year old vines. Harvested by hand after 3 to 5 passages through the vines, this remarkably fresh, elegant and exotic wine is truly delicious.
2015 Gruner Veltliner Eiswein, Haider (Half Bt)
Made from grapes picked in January at -10 degrees this intriguing dessert wine has an intense golden yellow colour. On the nose it has complex bready, white pepper, candy and lychee characters which lead to a palate of green tea, more candy and a wonderfully refreshing acidity. Delicate and extravagant with a long finish.
