A pale gold colour with aromas of red apple, plum, strawberry yoghurt and toasted brown bread. The palate has a fine mousse with orchard and stone fruit flavours, zesty acidity with a long finish.

Dorset Crémant NV, Bride Valley Vineyard £52.50
England’s only home-produced Crémant created here in Dorset by Steven Spurrier. It has a bright, attractive pale lemon colour with a persistent fine mousse showing its bottle-fermented effervescence. The Crémant has a less aggressive fizz than traditional sparkling wine and, as such, it gently slides onto the palate with a fantastic creamy expression. The perfect aperitif.

Rosé Bella 2018, Bride Valley Vineyard £57.50
Wonderful appearance in the glass, a beautiful salmon pink with a constant fine mousse and great energy with a lovely, attractive nose of raspberry and redcurrant fruit character. A delicious palate of red fruit…cranberry, redcurrant, raspberry…almost summer fruit pudding with real verve and freshness from balanced citrus acidity.

WHITE WINE

2014 Sherborne Castle Special Reserve, Dorset £34.00
This aromatic and delicately scented blend of Bacchus and Reichsteiner is soft and approachable and displays the huge potential England has as a producer of quality wines.

2019 Dorset Chardonnay, Bride Valley Vineyard £37.50
This beautiful wine is light lemon yellow in colour with spring and early summer flowers on the nose. It has well-expressed white, rather than yellow summer fruits on the palate with breadth and length lifted by natural ‘Granny Smith’ acidity which lifts the length and refreshes the finish.

RED WINE

2018 Dorset Pinot Noir, Bride Valley Vineyard £36.50
This 100% Pinot Noir is a light carmine red in colour. It delivers red summer fruits on the nose and ripe cherries and raspberries come through on the palate. Light in texture with Pinot Noir precision and purity, it carries a hint of new American oak which adds structure on the finish. This is a wine that the late Steven Spurrier always wanted to make.

ROSE WINE

2019 Dorset Pinot Noir Rose, Bride Valley Vineyard £36.50
A wonderful bright appearance with a striking, medium salmon colour. Aromas of delicious red summer fruits of raspberry, redcurrant and a pinch of spicy dried tangerine. The palate is broad and ripe with notes of cranberry, tayberry and strawberry, balanced by Bridge Valley’s crisp citrus acidity. Wonderful with fresh Dorset fish.

A terrific young Rioja with perfumed, violet scented fruit, juicy rounded palate and great freshness to the finish.  Navajas (pronounced Na-Va-Cas) add a few barrels of their super Crianza to this wine just to add a little extra depth and complexity.

Boldly fruited blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Mouvedre grown on pebble strewn
soils in the warmer, southerly vineyards of the region. Dark fruits and herbal/garrigue
flavours abound!

36. 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, Bodegas Sottano, Mendoza, Argentina £32.50
A fabulous Cabernet which shows a complex and inviting nose of coffee, dark fruits and
hints of spice. The well-rounded palate has more generous dark fruits, well-integrated oak
and soft, supple tannins on the finish.

37. 2021 Los Olivos Malbec, Familia Zuccardi, Mendoza, Argentina £33.50
Supple and easy to drink yet packed with black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, notes of
liquorice and marzipan. Excellent value and wonderfully approachable.

38. 2021 U Passimiento Nero d’Avola/Frappato, Sicilia Rosso, Italy £35.00
Bright, intense red fruit on the nose displaying lots of red berries. The palate is warm and
full bodied with harmonious acidity and smooth elegant tannins.

39. 2019 The Pepper Pot, Edgebaston, South Africa £36.00
Made from grown grapes in the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Elgin regions, this wine is created to
show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of these Rhône varietals. The colour is
youthful and purple/red. The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed
berry coulis.

40. 2021 Carmenere Reserva, Casas del Bosque, Rapel Valley, Chile £37.50
Full and ripe with blueberries, spice and a hint of herbaceous flavours. This wine is an
excellent example of top class Chilean Carmenere with dark berry fruit, some green leaf and
plenty of spice.

41. 2019 Cabane Langhe, Cantine Povero, DOC, Piedmont, Italy £38.00
The Cabane Langhe is a beautifully integrated blend of Nebbiolo, Cabernet and Barbera.
The enticing nose mingles floral notes with red fruits and tobacco, leading to a complex,
toasty palate with spicy notes to the fruit. Delightfully different yet distinctly Italian!

42. 2021 Shiraz, Cranswick Estate, South Australia £38.00
Deeply coloured with plummy aromas and a dash of sweet, earthy raspberry fruit and
vanillin smoothness. The multi layered palate is complex showing dark berry flavours and
spices and a long, balanced finish.

43. 2020 Soli Rouge, Eduardo Mirogilo, Thrace, Bulgaria £40.00
This quite luscious Bordeaux blend of Cabernets Sauvignon and Franc along with Merlot
shows what terrific value one can find outside Europe’s traditional wine regions. Open and
opulent with well-structured red and dark fruits.

44. 2019 Embers Cabernet Sauvignon, Flametree, Margaret River £42.50
Medium bodied with lifted aromas of violets and ripe black fruits, alongside chocolate and
cedar notes. The luscious palate shows flavours of plum, blackberry and more chocolate
and is rounded off by fine tannins.

45. 2017 Cuvée Constance, Thunevin-Calvet, AC Cotes de Roussillon, France £44.00
This classy wine is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Carignan from vines of up
to 45 years old. It shows plenty of rounded fruit, a balanced spicy backbone with underlying
minerality and impeccable finish.

46. 2019/20 Lirac Rouge Cuvée Elie, Domaine La Loyanne, Rhone, France £46.50
This blend of 60% Grenache & 40% Syrah comes from 80 year old vines, giving it a wonderful
depth and concentration to the rich fruit. A great pairing to beef or game dishes.

47. 2020 Morgon, Chateau Grange Cochard, Cru Beaujolais, France £50.00
Packed with blackberry, crushed black raspberry, kirsch and damson plum fruit, with black
liquorice, dried herb and mineral notes. The complex palate shows fine balance and focus
throughout. A fabulous Cru Beaujolais which is made with minimal intervention and low
sulphur to produce a wine of great character and purity.

48. 2020/21 Loidana, Marco Abella, DO Priorat, Spain £52.00
This amazing wine from one of Spain’s finest wine growing regions is simply delicious and a
great introduction to Priorat. It shows an abundance of black cherry, raspberry and
strawberry fruit alongside hints of violets, cedar and spice. The velvety palate is smooth and
harmonious showing an impeccable balance through to the end of the long finish.
Approachable and authentic, this complex wine is an utter joy to drink.

49. 2019 Tindall Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand £57.00
Delightful aromas of cranberry, plum and red cherry on the nose. The palate is elegant and
lasting with hints of vanilla and subtle oak.

50. 2012 Rioja Reserva Hinia, Bodegas Martinez Lacuesta, DOCa Rioja, Spain £61.50
Intense and aromatic on the nose with ripe dark fruits and elegant notes of balsamic,
tobacco, vanilla and chocolate. The palate shows a wonderful freshness with soft tannins
and an elegant mouthfeel.

51. 2019 Mercurey Rouge 1er Cru, Domaine Meunier, Burgundy, France £75.00
Côte Chalonaise, Burgundy, France
Cherry, raspberry and some leafiness all appear on the enticing nose. The palate is clean and
crisp with bright brambly fruit and flavours of the forest.

52. 2020 Châteauneuf du Pape ‘Tradition’, Domaine de l’Ange, Rhône, France £85.00
Grenache makes up 70% of the blend in this rich and hearty red form the southern Rhône.
The wine shows lots of dense red berry fruit with hints of spice and a gentle warming finish.

53. 2018 3 Cru Amarone, Guerrieri Rizzardi, Italy £95.00
A classic Amarone, with rich raisin, chocolate, coffee and notes of spice. Velvety full body
and well-integrated alcohol. The nose and palate are expressive, and the finish lengthy.
Excellent wine.

54. 2011 Château Bellegrave, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France £115.00
This very solid vintage from Bellegrave produced a slightly fuller wine than usual with a
greater degree of fruit and structure that is drinking beautifully at present.

Pale, dry and very elegant, this delightful Rose is softly textured and rounded.  At only 11.5% alcohol it is easy to drink.

A Ripe and refreshing with a delicious off dry strawberry fruit character, this is a very versatile food wine, especially with seafood and spicier dishes.

This pale red dessert wine from South Africa is a cape classic.  Sweet and strawberry scented with a fresh vein of acidity perfectly balancing the richness.

Monbazillac, Domaine De L’ancienne Cure. Half bottle £35.00 | By the glass (100ml) £8.50
Richly honeyed with complex notes of dried fruits, nuts and caramel alongside.  The heady orange blossom and barley sugar bouquet leads to a complex dried fruit palate offset by a fine acidity.

Cuvée Celine, Clos Le Comte, Sauternes. By the glass (100ml) £11.50
The Clos le Comte is a tiny (1.3 hectare) organically farmed vineyard of 50 year old vines. Harvested by hand after 3 to 5 passages through the vines, this remarkably fresh, elegant and exotic wine is truly delicious.
