February Wine of the Month: Cabernet Sauvignon, Bodegas Sottano, Mendoza 2020

An Argentinian and vegan red wine from the family estate Bodegas Sottano in Mendoza, run and owned by 3 brothers. The warm days and cold nights, typical of this region, results in well-balanced and perfectly ripe grapes.  Complex on the nose with coffee, dark fruits, hints of spice and black pepper, along with a palate of dark fruits, chocolate and ripe yet subtle tannins. This sublime Cabernet Sauvignon has an elegance and balance which is not always the case for ‘New World’ Wines. Perfectly paired with beef, lamb, mushrooms and aged cheddar cheese.
