At the end of last December with very heavy hearts we said farewell to Chris Holmes, our Chef in the kitchen who was with us for over 7 years. He had become part of our family and played a massive part in putting Yalbury Cottage on the map. Jamie and Chris were such an amazing team and had such fun creating new and exciting dishes for the restaurant. Chris and his family moved to Salisbury and therefore the journey was just a bit too far for Chris each day.

So there was a gap in the kitchen team and really there was only ever one man who could fill it…..Neal Chainey !!! Neal worked with us at Yalbury and YC’s and left us 3 years ago to further his career in St Moritz, Switzerland and has worked also in Australia. Neal joined us in the middle of March after the ski season and is doing such an amazing job and brings such enthusiasm and passion along with a great sense of humour. We are so lucky and happy to have him back in the Yalbury family. You will be hearing from Neal in future newsletters as he will be doing the recipe page.
